Area D Regional CERT is offering a CERT continuing education training opportunity for those who have completed the CERT Basic Class. CERT Members must be affiliated with a City program and must have completed CERT Basic Training.
It’s not something most of us like to think or talk about, but do you know what to do if an active shooter should arrive at work, school, or the mall? Active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly. Typically, the immediate deployment of law enforcement is required to stop the shooting and mitigate harm to victims.
Because active shooter situations are often over within 10 to 15 minutes, before law enforcement arrives on the scene, individuals must be prepared both mentally and physically to deal with an active shooter situation. Taking a few steps now can help you react quickly when every second counts.
